I read somewhere you can treat watermeal with Cutrine mixed with some weedtrine. Is there any truth to this or a possible solution?

Turk,
You will get a slight kill-burning but the watermeal will bounce right back. The only active ingredient that will kill the watermeal is fluridone (Sonar/AVAST). Even this is not a 100% sure thing.

I agree fluridone is the best but expensive. You might try Reward first. It is much cheaper and it kills the heck out of what it touches. However it does not kill it all per application. You will have to be on look out and spray the corner where some pops up a few days later. If you really stay on it it can work. Clients have done this but we as applicatiors can not b/c it takes some effort. I feel for you it is by far the most difficult to rid of in the pond envir.

I have tried reward but it didn't work. Looks like I'm going to have to try Sonar.
