That's been the same thing that I've experienced with Whitetails. Here? They eat minimal browse, but really chow down on corn and soybeans. Northern Wisconsin they only eat browse - no large scale agriculture in the area. The deer from here get made into steaks and burger, up there they end up in sausage or given away.
