Pond Boss Forums POND CONSTRUCTION Renovating a Pond or Lake? The pond this morning

This is a picture as of this morning. I have removed all trees 6 inches and under from back of pond except two that have been dead for two years. It appears there are many trees on back of dam but the are really along the fence line. there is a 10 ft lane between the back of dam and the fence line. I am setting up a leaf barrier tomorrow. I am proud to be 61 years old and still able to handle a chainsaw like a pro.

Just don't be lazy and wear your PPE! Like that's what you want to hear right? Sorry chainsaw injuries are no joke!

Enough of that... I like it, I bet that's a cool little view when it's full up.

Always PPE...hard hat, gloves to elbow, safety glasses, safety boots to the knee. I am sure I look very attractive. I love my chainsaw. It is 40 volt lithium with 16 inch bar. It self sharpens and will cut up to 12 inch diameter. Also have an alligator style saw for cutting smaller wood for loading into truck. The whole east side of our home is glass and the deck runs down to the pond with a lower deck set up to just sit or lazily catch some supper....someday.

I just found some hammocks that you can sit in (not lay back in) to hang next to the pond. I'm all about being lazy and fishing!

vamaz, Your comment is just great. When I turned 40 I decided I wanted to be a rock star. Started an all girl band. I played a 1965 Gibson ES 335. We did great. Opened up for some great bands. Did gigs for about a year. Full time job does not work well with night time gigs. Got a divorce had to sell the Gibson, The handmade Yarri, the first ever acrylic drum set, the Peavy sound board and my solid body fender strat. Now at 61 music soothes my soul and am tryin to do a pond right Just found out my neighbor has all the equipment to fix my pond problems. All is good. Rock on!
