Not sure yet what we got, but it should have been close to 5-6".

I need it, the spot in this pic should be 4' deep.

Big Sandy/Gilmer TX area we received 5" to 6"+ inches from local weather gauges. The weather channel a bit over 2". Water is running over my spillway for the first time!! As fire is hot showed in his pic, If you live in TX you need rain. It is a great start to a fall season.

If my rain guage is accurate, my place received 1.25 inches. Not as much as some places around Wichita Falls, there were callers on the local talk radio morning show that said they got up to 4".

How big is Texas high school football? Even during this awful drought, I heard one of the local weather men lamenting wet fields for the game last night!

As water restrictions move from not being able to wash your car to a surcharge added to the water bill, more and more people in town are getting the picture. Any rain is a good thing, and regardless of the amount, I'm glad to get it!

We got just over 7 inches at our farm!!! I'll be out there working in a day or so and I'll post an update when I can. This should erase my losses for the summer and then some!!

Allen, your pump might be a little wet right now, but I am glad to clean it up if it means water in the pond!!

I got 2.7 inches here in the metropl;ex. I doubt that I got more than an inch at Bowie.

It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

Don't sweat it, glad you got the rain. We wound up with right at 4". Puddle's up almost exactly 4", and we still didn't get any runoff.

We got 2 1/4 inches yesterday here in Northern Indiana. First significant rain we've had in a couple of months.

The new retention pond had zero water in it Wed.

This morning it had well over three foot of water in it.

I was shocked that much water was in it today from one rain.

Love the rain!

Mark, it already looks like it's already for a spinnerbait. Hard to believe we're all so giddy about a little rain.

Congrats my TX brethren...I am excited for you. Hope you get some tropical depression that stalls over you and drops 10" gently over a few days time.

I found a leak in my pond where I noticed some algae was collecting. Temporarily plugged/stuffed it with clay to see if the water rises above that point. So far, it is holding. Hopefully, I will get another 6" in pond depth. I could use it, the pond was only 6'8". Let it rain!

Good news for you guy's in Texas.

Supposed to be sunny and dry here all weekend, which I was hoping for that, but the darn clouds are in the way, and they are leaking a bit.

That's the plan Al. Oct is supposed to be the wettest month in Wills Point. Hopefully we'll all see plenty of rain Monday thru Thurs this Fall and be able to play on our properties on weekends!
