I feed am500&600 twice a day. When should I stop feeding this fall? Thanks

What type of fish ? General rule of thumb is low 50's water temp for warmwater fish (LMB , BG etc) a little cooler for coolwater fish like HSB , YP ,WE) and even lower for coldwater fish (pike , trout) . Some people even feed moist pelletes through the ice during winter in small amounts.

ewest, I feed dry AM600 during the winter to the trout. I set the feeder to dispense for one second during the middle of the day, and it throws the feed into the open water made by the Vertex diffuser.

That's good news, I will have some left over AM600. I was concerned about the RBT I will be getting from you will take that or not.

2 years ago the RBT that I put in my pond went from an average weight of 2# at stocking in mid October to 7# by the beginning of July.

That's a question I always wondered about. Why do GB quit feeding on pellets when the water cools but they bite very well through the ice?

I suspect it is because they won't approach the waters surface but will feed deep where they stay when the water cools

BG and LMB and most all fish metabolism slows to a crawl in cold temps as they are cold blooded. They do feed to different degrees in cold water just not much for BG and LMB. So no big reason for a feeding program if they won't eat much and all you get is nutrient bulid-up from uneaten feed. Plus the cost is a factor.

Scott my comment about feeding moist pellets through the ice was about warm and cool water fish (BG ,LMB , HSB , YP and Catfish)not about cold water fish like trout. They live in cold water and eat fine.
