Betcha feral hog bristle would make good conventional weed guards but a weedless "hook point up" fly pattern needs floatation.
Deer body hair, as well as buck tail, is hollow, or cellular might be better terminology - resulting in floatation and hook point up bass bugs.
Dusty's deer hair bass bug is the best weedless bug I have ever fished.
