Matt, check with the fishery agency in Maine. It has very strict laws regarding stocking different species. Maine is one of the few states where LMB are not wide spread, depending on where you place is they may be illegal to stock. Also, I think LMB may be a poor choice for your neck of the woods. You may want to consider a species that will do better in cooler conditions, like WE, SMB, HSB, etc if legal.
