It was locked shortly after I brought it back from the dead. I believe everything is covered in it.

Jugline-in a word, yes. It's a rare question on this forum that gets the "Check the archives" response, but there's a lot of information there on this topic-enough for a couple hours worth of reading.

And we've all been getting along so well since the last time this topic came up, it would be a shame to break the peace.

Thanks for posting the link, Jwwann.

Still some good info on that thread....including this informative picture of one of those "ENHANCED" brim Sparkie is so fond of.

No hornets nest here. It just got personal with a few. That's all.

Not to worry, Jugline.
As you can see from the thread Jwwann linked, I don't think there was ever a completely uniform consensus on the benefits/lack thereof of GGs. Some folks had good luck with them, some terrible. Some felt they'd been ripped off, some like they got a good product. I don't believe they're available presently, as the proprietor died some time ago, so it's probably a moot point.

That's what I get for getting a snack before logging into PondBoss... This thread gave me such a start that I've got pistachios everywhere.

I will only say that I believe the photos posted by Yolk and Jwwann show the absolute polar ends of the spectrum where GG, and HBG in general, are concerned.

I've had HBG for years, and I've seen neither of those extreme examples.

"Forget pounds and ounces, I'm figuring displacement!"

If we accept that: MBG(+)FGSF(=)HBG(F1)
And we surmise that: BG(>)HBG(F1) while GSF(<)HBG(F1)
Would it hold true that: HBG(F1)(+)AM500(x)q.d.(=)1.5lbGRWT?
PB answer: It depends.
