I would love to make it. I missed Esshup because I was in KC visiting my daughter. Now I going to be on an airplane heading to Saskatchewan to hunt waterfowl. Timing just not on my side.

The one advantage to not coming to Pond-a-palooza is that you won't accidently ask about how to kill aquatic plants, hence, you will avoid being pushed in the water.

What about comments concerning land based vegetation growing right down to the water's edge? Or possibly even overhanging the water body itself?? What if an attendee is asked, by another attendee, a question that is deemed verboten...certainly the scourge who asked the question is going in the water...serves him or her right...but does that make the other party guilty by association? Even if they were frantically shaking their head NO, and backing away?

This sounds entirely too stressful....

This is being billed as "the most stressful event in the history of Pond Boss".

If you spend your time talking about fish, fishing, growing fish, water quality, dam building, site selection, fish genetics, feeding fish, loving fish, breeding fish, blowing up fish...you will be given food, beverage, and the occasional bro'-hug.

If you ask "How do I kill the moss in my lake", your reply will be "Moss grows on trees", and you will be sent for a swim.

Aquatic vegetation is some of the best "fish" habitat there is! grin

Don't worry about trying to go in the water Jwwann. You'd have gone in the drink just on general principles.

You're one of the few people I know who might be able to refrain from "moss talk". We'll just make certain to keep you away from woodland animals.

It will come down to having an indian summer or not. Surface temps last night here were sitting at 75 degrees, water temps in late September might be in the upper 50's to lower 60's. If the current trend continues, it could be much cooler than that. grin

Me: "Hey Bruce..."

Bruce: "Did you say spruce? Spruce is a tree! Trees are plants!"

Fully extended arms as I'm pushed into the drink.

If this doesn't happen at least 8 times I will be shocked.

Bruce. Can I park my mid 60s camper in your driveway and plug into your house? Thinking about bringing the whole family. What's your views on people bathing in your pond? LOL!

8 hour from my house. 4 hour from my mother and father in laws. I bet I could catch my wife off guard and say I wanna go visit her family. Then sneak away on an excursion on Saturday.

"We've got a pool and a pond. Pond would be good for you."

Excerpt from Robert Crais' "The Monkey's Raincoat:"
"She took another microscopic bite of her sandwich, then pushed it away. Maybe she absorbed nutrients from her surroundings."
