I miss America where you didn't need government permission to do something like marvel at a cool sinkhole like that. I like that Sheriff.
There is something that makes you know you're alive standing close to the edge of danger.
I say this in full knowledge that most Americans seem to have lost common sense...

I see your point but what about when the sheriff has to rescue someone at the taxpayers expense or risk the life of a rescuer? The edge of that thing look like it could bury you alive if it went down with you standing on it.
Not the same thing but my dad would get very angry when he was ordered to rescue missionaries and press in enemy territory in Vietnam.
