Combination of yelling, smiling and grimacing. And exhaustion.

HOLY HSB, NICE WIPER! (Sorry George smile )

Josh, with that size and the fight he likely put on, did you release him? And if so, did it take much to get him going and/or any worries he won't survive?

Any idea on the age of that fish?

"Forget pounds and ounces, I'm figuring displacement!"

If we accept that: MBG(+)FGSF(=)HBG(F1)
And we surmise that: BG(>)HBG(F1) while GSF(<)HBG(F1)
Would it hold true that: HBG(F1)(+)AM500(x)q.d.(=)1.5lbGRWT?
PB answer: It depends.

Omaha, can I just say your entire face looks small behind that HOG of a fish!!!! ZOINKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congratulations to you and TJ, both!

Here's an HSB from my neighborhood retention pond coming it at 14". It was 9-10" at stocking time back in April:

Here's my first ever caught Channel Catfish at 12" plus, stocked at a thin 8-9" back in April:

AND, here's a smallmouth at about 13", thanks to a fine Tennessee Gentleman & Scholar!:

And BTW, that's not me in the first pic with the HSB. The guy with the fish is my brother, Sid.

The guy in the orange shirt is a GI MD who lives in the hood. We call him "Dr. Jellyfinger."

Is Dr. Jellyfinger a proctologist?

That's a pretty diverse neighborhood retention pond!

You'd never caught a channel cat before?

No. Never caught a CC. I've stocked them at my main pond for over (5) years now and have never caught one, or seen one swimming. I saw one single one caught by a buddy when I was there, and a picture of one that 'wivell' caught when I wasn't there.

I have (6) species of 'catchable' fish in this pond....LMB, SMB, HSB, CC, BG, and YP.

That's crazy man! I bet when you finally do at your place the fish will be huge. Then you'll spend every summer targeting them.

Sunil,

How big is the retention pond?

Those are some nice fish and growth rates! Do you feed the fish? and what did you think of the quality of the fish from zetts fish farm?

Thanks!

Looks like a painful sunburn in the making.

I believe that "Raccoon" Omaha may know about such things.
