Evening Everybody! I'm a new member (only posted once before!) and need some advice. I have a 25,000 sq. ft pond that we stocked this spring with 500 1-3 inch bluegill and 1000 minnows. The plan was for these bluegill and minnows to grow and spawn and then next summer add some largemouth bass. Shortly after I put the fish in the pond I had about 30 ducks that camped out for three weeks and all summer long I've not been able to find any evidence of any fish in the pond. I made plans to get 700 more bluegill and 2000 minnows this week to start over, thinking that I had nothing in the pond. To my surprise while I was walking around the pond tonight I saw several schools of 10-15 4-5 inch bluegill. Will I create problems by adding additional fish to the pond? They are all from the same hatchery.

I'd think you would be fine in a pond that size. If they overpopulate, just add a few more bass.
