as planed the pond should be able to exceed 7 acres with the the land that i have avalible and yea ill provide the correct amount of cover.
as just a plan there will a area with lots of wood like sunken shrubs/bushes and rock pile/boulders. which will provide plenty of cover and a spectacular view from the underwater water world as well as the outside. there will be as always a aquatic plants growing so i wouldnt be to worried about the shiners cover. i personally belive they should be fine.
wow im really happy to hear that the hybrid striped bass and hybrid crappie and as well the shiners will be able to provide a great stocking combo.
is there any other suggestions or things i should know? how much of each fish should i stock in a 7-8 acre pond?
