TP&W officially uses the term Palmetto Bass instead of hybrid striped bass due to their hatchery female striped bass x male white bass.
The reverse cross female white bass x male striped bass, which is most used in private hatcheries, is known as a Sunshine Bass - maybe because first introduced in Florida.

All of our pond HSB from Overton fisheries are Sunshine bass, commonly called Hybrid Striped bass as per "Culture and Prpogation of Striped Bass and It's Hybrids" - published by American Fisheries Society.
