Hopefully everyone within driving distance of Cedar Rapids, Iowa will come out to our Lake and Land Management Extravaganza on July 26/27!!! The event is free and along with speaking and demonstrating, we will be hanging out the whole time and hope some of you guys can come keep us company. They are expecting a crowd of about 500... We will be there from about 10 am Friday until 2pm Saturday!! Bring the whole family there will be lots to do! Bob Lusk and many other great speakers will be there as well!!!

Oh heck Scott's place (Esshup) will have 1000 people. He just doesn't know it yet. It's going to be a full scale pond meister riot when they find out he only has food for 50. Seriously wish I lived closer. Sounds like an awesome event.

If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.

Nate, I can't imagine what you are going thru to get everything set up. Just trying to coordinate everything for this one is a PITA!

Scott, one thing that I have learned to do very well is to just wing it. we routinely set up various events for 100+ people basically weekly, and if not weekly monthly.... so anyhow once you do the legwork for the first one, the others are pretty much cakewalk...

Thanks. I think you're right, the more times someone does something, the easier it gets.

Cecil may be right. I had at least half a dozen phone calls today about it.
Nate, I'll see if I can get away next weekend.

Scott,
We had lots of calls at the last minute with our spring conference too. We also found out what really brings folks in is a press release fairly close to the event about a week out.
I wrote a couple of press releases for newspapers as if the paper had written them. Really made a difference.
If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.

Had a great time today at the lake management event in Independence. If anyone has a chance to go tomorrow I would highly recommend it. Bob Lusk was there and I really enjoyed getting to visit with him. Also really enjoyed his and Nate Herman's presentations. Another really good thing was I finally found a supplier that carries the Aquamax 500 fish food that I have been looking for. B & B Farm Store in Jessup has it. They had a booth and were selling it at the event. I have been feeding Aquamax Game Fish Chow and have wanted to try the 500. Can't wait to see how the fish like it.

Your fish will love it.
Nate, I sent you a PM - can't make it. Tomorrow looks like I'll be spending a lot of time in the garage doing mechanic things.....
