I would like to see where they were harvested from. They sell 40lb bags of Onions up here for 4 bucks. Muck farms. Not really worth planting any, except for a hobby. Did some with miserable results.

Plenty of tomatoes most of my early big ones have been kinda crappy but a couple were good, all kinds of yellow cherry, red cherries, grape and pear tomatoes..

I believe in catch and release. I catch then release to the grease..

I use large weaved wood baskets with layers of good clean straw between my onions make sure none are touching usually stay for 4-5 months tops..

Thanks BGK, I may just hit you up on the help. Your pics are what I want to see.

I don't have any problems with Garlic, Shallots, Bunching Onions or Leeks, but I can't get any size out of other onions.

There's certain kinds of onions for certain regions of the country.. Long day, short day and intermediate day onions.. Also always plant transplants for onions, bulbs for green onions, and when you plant the transplant only plant basically the roots maybe 1/2" deep, they like about 1/2-1" of rain a week but mine usually don't get that, pretty much the solid don't matter too much since most of the onion grows out of the ground.. Check out dixondale farms online for info they have good transplants too not crap like Walmart.. Good luck they are one of the easier things to grow if start them right..

Beans and squash have been done for over a month. Been picking jalapenos, chili, and poblanos for about a month. Now getting cukes and cantaloupes. I wish watermelons would grow faster cause they are my favorite summer garden item.

bgk,
Do you have a drip emitter per plant or is your tubing perforated at each plant?

Well I have had issues this year from getting 80% of our annual rainfall in a few months. Lost taters because we could not get a lot of them out of the mud before they rotted. A lot of plants drowned or blown over in thunderstorms. Has not been the best of years here. First year Grapes look good though there are not many LOL.

Tums, did you plant those grapes this year? I planted some in Feb/Mar and don't have (and really didn't expect any) this year. I'm in E Central AL...

It's been disastrous for us as we've lost pretty much all vegetables to floods or subsequent weeds or disease. We might get half of the 3,300 onions we planted. Early peaches got brown rot, and the rest got ravaged by dastardly woodpeckers. All berries have been good though. We picked 42 gallons of blackberries last week alone. 250 tomatoes gone, 200 peppers gone, 3 acres pumpkins, squash, melons gone. Third acre of potatoes gone. Soil is black from the dried algae that was growing on it. Pond is doing great though!!

The stuff i use is called drip tape (not the same as drip hose), pretty neat stuff relatively cheap has emitters every 6 inches..

They where planted toward the end of last August probably about 11 months ago. I would think you will see some next summer.
