With color changes you have different species blooming and crashing. To be on the safe side I would check with Applied Biochemists who manufacture Cutrine and Aquashade. Customer Service at www.appliedbiochemists.com Eggs and fry are almost always more sensitive to chemicals than older fish. If you have had this condition long term why not wait till spawn is over? If you kill most of the food for the fry it won't make much difference if you have a big hatch or not.
