I have a lot of treated lumber that has been out in the weather for 5 years or more. Can I use that for structure, or is it a bad idea?

I'll let someone who knows for sure answer. My gut feeling is that the volume of water in the pond is so great as compared to the wood that is going in that it wouldn't be a problem. Maybe Leo will see this and weigh in.

Probably ok. I would take a bucket of pond water and put a small piece of the wood and put it in and watch for a day or two.

Thanks. I know there are a lot of docks and bulkheads made with the same type of treated wood, and it doesn't seem to be a problem, but wanted to see if there was any general knowledge out there on the issue.
