Dry heat! Ha!

I was out getting big creek chubs (5-6 inches) this morning for an evening of catfish fishing on my lower pond. I use a #8 hook with a chunk of worm to get the creek chubs. I can usually get 15-20 chubs in 15-20 minutes. On one of the retrieves I was a little surprised to get about a 14 inch rainbow trout.

She's going into some dry heat in just a little bit, although it will be a little smokey. The smoker is on, and she's in the brine now. grin

I'm thinking my smoker is a lot like where my older son lives in Oklahoma. With the wildfires, it is a darn hot dry heat, punctuated with smoke from the many wild fires they get.
