Interesting I have been keeping a close eye on the piles and piles of tad poles in my pond this year. They have now gotten to where they are hopping around the bank and the birds are eating them as fast as they jump out of the water. I see now why they need to lay so many with the hopes 10-100 make it. Birds are licking the little guys up. They are as big a small button battery with a small tail still.
