My best guess was a specked king snake, but it just doesn't really look right. My first thought was the old line "red & yellow, kill a fellow", but this obviously isn't a coral snake. I suspect the collective wisdom of the Pond Bosses will supply the correct answer. It's another day in paradise

It stopped growing at 4'-8". Very tame and friendly snake. Markings exactly the same but yours has slightly more black.
