hello all. i'm very excited to say i am now country living and am a new owner of 16 acres in western ohio. i also am a pond owner. my pond is 3/4 of an acre and about 8' deep at the center. i joined the forum to try to research the problems with the pond and get it healthy again...on a budget of course.
problems are...duckweed duckweed duckweed. there are a lot of trees on three sides and a lot of muck build-up. my priorities are an aerator and getting rid of the duckweed. then maybe i can think about getting it stocked. i don't beleive there are many fish in there right now. i do however have lots of painter turtles, snappers, and frogs.
