So i was using a Berkley crappie nibble catching bluegill tonight when my 3-wt flyrod really went crazy... and this beauty was landed...



A 13 inch wonderful surprise! Fish is on a 2by6.

Good question. Any springs in the pond ? Any info on the 2 questions would be good.

I actually bought talapia this year from Overtons, and a few big ones came with the batch...I think they are also growing like gang-busters.

This is the first year for them in my pond.

My pond is 27 foot deep at the bowl, but i am confident that the fish will die in the winter months. We froze over once this winter.

Thanks for asking about by CNBG... the week before Walt Overton was bringing me my replacement CNBG and Talapia, they showed up. I guess the weird spring weather had them in the deeps still.

I went ahead and brought another batch of CNBG and some small ones in the cage that I will probably put in another pond this fall.
