We had our annual electro fishing evaluation yesterday and to my suprise we came up with this 17 pound blue cat.

Surprised in that you did not stock bluecats or surprised that he was 17 pounds? Did you release him back to the pond?

I believe in catch and release. I catch then release to the grease..

We did stock CC about 20 years ago. Most seemed to have been fished out a couple of years after stocking. Have not caught any in years. This blue must have been in with the CC. The lake is creek fed. Could it have come in that way?
