The water coming out of the 3inch pvc is that fresh water or somehow recycled water? I can't seem to understand how your pond can be that low if you have a constant inflow of water like you do? Does it leak out somewhere else? Just wondering.

the water coming in isn't being recycled it's fresh spring water coming out of the ground just a few feet above the pond, and believe it or not that is only a 1 inch pipe.
since the pond was built by me by hand the dam is not even as thick as some peoples clay liners so therefore the pond leaks and when we get into a drought the water coming in is less than what is going out.
