As I've mentioned in a few posts, I planted over 30,000 trees on my farm this spring. Now comes the joy of keeping them as free as possible from competition from grass and weeds. The problem is that many of the trees are planted on steep slopes--too steep for my Kubota and bushhog, I'm afraid. So I need something to mow up and down the hills as close as possible to the trees.
In searching around the internet I discovered Ventrac tractors. Looks like a Ventrac might be perfect for my needs. They claim to be able to operate continuously on slopes of 30 degrees. They make a rough cut mover that should be sufficient for my needs.
Anyone have experience with Ventrac? Can they stand up to serious work?
