Tgal - Can you "catch" some of it in a mayonase or pint/quart jar? Let it settle and look at it to see if the are wiggling, jumping or swimming around. I want to eliminate th possibility of zooplankton. Some Daphnia will have sometimes have reddish pigment. If zooplankton they should each be about pin head sized.
