He will prob pick up some mud in Mo tomorrow also. Nothing but rain in forecast all day tomorrow.

There really wasn't any 'misfortune' per say. More like 'expected to happen' kind of thing.
We made no attempts at self preservation and just went for the wrecker.

There really wasn't any 'misfortune' per say. More like 'expected to happen' kind of thing.
We made no attempts at self preservation and just went for the wrecker. Most likely a good decision. Every time it seems like you get stuck worse or end up with two vehicles stuck or in the case of the original pond fill in on my property two Fords, a Chevy,and one backhoe. One of the fords lost it rear bumper too. It was a nightmare. All to pull the backhoe out. In the end a friend who knew how to run the backhoe properly just hopped in it and had it out in 15 minutes. Then he pulled out the trucks. Made for one heck of a drunken adventure for everybody I guess.

10 minutes once the wrecker showed up. Ha Ha. I have a couple of deep ruts in my yard where Essup got stuck backing the fish trailer. Fortunately his sister's 4x4 did the pulled it out. Essup sure said "Oh crap," a lot. Sorry Scott I let it slip. LOL Never trust the guy who says "You can drive anywhere except over the leach field".  Even an Eaton locker in the rear end is no substitute for 4 wheel drive!

I was sweating it for a minute or 3 tho!! That's what this guy did. We had been drinking and wasn't that smart. Everybody's truck of course became the toughest. Not one even budged the backhoe held down by suction of mud.

I knew I would likely get stuck at Sunil's again, but it had to be done to safely stock his fish...One day, I will get Sunil to lay down some solid gravel or deliver him a few ton of "Rock Fish".

It's the rocks that are used around railroad ties/tracks. They reclaim it when tracks are pulled up. The local aggrigate supplier here has it, and I believe it's pretty common. It isn't cleaned tho, so you might find odd bits of metal in it. i.e. railroad spikes, etc.

I would be worried those rocks would be contaminated with all the crap they spray onto railroad tracks.

That was my initial thoughts too, but a client has had them down for 4-5 years now and we have to spray a couple of times a year for weeds. No ill effects on anything noticed.

He's using them as a base for the finer limestone. They are a PITA to walk on, and are kinda bumpy for a road, but used as he's using them, I think they'll work great. They are about 2" dia. Not round and smooth, but irregular shaped.

Thanks for that info, I'll see what I find in Texas. One of the neighbors out at the farm has a son who works for the RR so it should be easy find out what they do.
