I tried a larger version of this:


Brown in color, Brown Chubby Stubby for a head, 4" earthworm brown worm. No takers. I had it on a 2/0 worm hook. It floated, and would dive a bit when retrieved with a jerking motion. I think it would work very well when the water was warmer.

I removed the Chubby Stubby and just fished the split worm, threaded on the hook. Caught this guy:




Pellet fed LMB. Tag #20. 17" long, 3.5# WR 136.

It's hard taking pictures by yourself if you don't want to lay the fish down on the ground!

Also caught a couple of 10"-11" YP after something yanked the back 3" off of the worm, one 9" Female BG and 2 of the Golden Trout. The trout are running 16" long now..
