I'm thinking this may be more of a storm drain than an actual septic sewer?

If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.

I think I'd prefer to eat the catfish rather than the strawberry flavored hotdog he used for bait. Whereas, that catfish is probably more nutritious, and less toxic.

What is the world coming to?......Strawberry flavored hotdogs?......YUCK!

I also think it's a rainwater system, and not sewage.

I mean the bullhead is N.A.S.T.Y.!!!

It's a storm drain for water from rain and runoff, also snow if you have it.

Sanitary sewage systems, at least modern ones, usually do not have street level access like the one in the video. Usually are totally enclosed and there are Lift Stations scattered about to move the sewage to it's final destination, the waste treatment plant.

Ever been to a treatment plant where they process the solids?, and that includes everything that is flushed sick They recycle tho laugh

Both types of systems are usually separated due to the problem that if you get heavy rains, the treatment plant will overflow, usually into a river or other BOW. The old saying around here is "when it rains in Grand Rapids, S#%* happens in Grand Haven"! It's much better now because they rebuilt most of the sewer systems in Grand Rapids.

Also, could you imagine the smell, if that were a sanitary sewer?
Methane, would also be a problem wink

OK Sunil,
Which movie featured a guy draining his RV's black water tank into a storm drain?

What happened when he did?

It is a storm drain. #1 item in them is soiled baby diapers. Believe me, it's true.

Is that because they dump them in there, or the trash get's scattered and they run down storm drain?

I believe you! I've been to some pretty crappy places in my time (pun intended) Recycling plants and landfills are pretty nasty places. Burn your cloths after you leave from a day's work!

PS: I doubt Sunil will answer my movie trivia question. He's no fun wink

Storm drains + red light intersections + in car baby changing = totally worthless human beings. JKB, since this a G rated forum, I won't tell you what else we've seen down there.

Every time somebody called about a puppy or kitten in the storm drain, we cringed.

I think it was 'Vacation.'

My point is, it's not a true sewage line although it does contain some sewage.

I may get too technical in nature, but I work with crap like this.

Next time you open up a new toothbrush, and it says "made from recycled materials"! Consider where it may have come from wink

Kinda irks me a bit. Just saying wink

Recycling is a pretty big business now!

Yesterday's crap, is your NEW stuff! shocked wink Crappy Diapers and all !!! laugh eek
