Be careful with the small hooks - BG are bad about swallowing Stubby pellets on small hooks or gill hooking.
I don't like to kill my fish!

I use nothing smaller than a #6 bait hook and catch larger fish - pellets will slow sink and fish are less hook shy.
My experience - others may vary..
