I moved my airstone from the depths to about 3' of water today for the Winter (since I can't turn off the wind ). It was a good day, temp profile-wise, switch to Winter mode. Water temps were 45.0 deg F at the surface and 44.6 deg F at the bottom out in the middle; 45.4 deg F at the surface and at 3 feet at the dock.
My non-supercooled Redears and I thank Bill Cody, et al. for providing the info on when to switch.
