We went out today and found some huge schools of fish (pic of fish finder attached) the fish were all in the 15-20 ft range around giant schools of bait fish. We threw some deep crank baits and couldn't get a bite. We then put the boat over the top of the schools and started jigging and I got this bass in the boat. The air was 40 degrees and the water at one end of the lake was 46 and at the other end was 47.

Nice one! We are headed down to the Sullivan-Shakamak area to do some strip pit fishing soon, I hope we land at least one like that.

I was surprised at how thick the bass was for this time of year and water being so cold but he was very thick. Mike good luck at the pits like I said all the fish here were about where that fish finder pic shows and they wouldn't bite anything but the jig.
