JKB I like this idea but ill tell you you'll hate this after one season.. Any widths over 3' are a pain in the a$$ to work from one side and hard on the back..mine started out as 3' and are now closer to 2' just for this reason you want to be able to step right over them instead of walking around..
My other beds are 4' wide. I know that some people don't like them that wide, but they work fine for me.
I don't think I could step over 42" tall pepper plants.
