...and now back to the Oklahoma largemouth bass record.
That fish is UNREAL!! Very impressive catch and congratulations to the angler.
Just sorta a lil' side note....
Doesn't that fish look a little dry in the photo? I know they say it was successfully released, but it looks a little "arid".

If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.

Yeah, that happens here also. I remember one narrow minded type that got all bent out of shape while I was tournament fishing in the old days. He considered me catching bass out from under his dock was a personal affront. Heck, we was too busy mowing the lawn to catch fish anyway. Dave while I can see your point of view.I have personally pulled more lures out of my boats cover, cushions and even the canvas decking of my fathers nearly 100 year old fully restored C Scow than I care to remember. If the dock is empty I feel it is pretty much fair game if being courteous but when boats are involved I wouldnt expect a warm welcome. As for the record, thats one nice fish, but I am still boggled by the fact NJ is only at#10 14 oz.

Agree with you. I only dropped worms and jigs under places that I can get to. I never was accurate enough to miss boats so just went on to the next one.
It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

MI State record is tied at 11lb 15.04oz. Once in 1934 and again in 1959. They were probably fishing for something else tho

Cecil, I caught my largest LMB (7.3lbs)in that Indiana lake about a year and a half before that girl pulled that record out of there. One of my absolute favorite lakes. The guy who had a place on that lake has since passed and his wife moved. But after the Bass was caught they "REALLY" tightened up the restrictions on who could fish there.

Rob,
Same thing happened here when a kid caught a pumpkinseed that could have tied the world record. Small lake was pretty much shut off.
Back when I did deer mounts, a customer got a big buck on a property and he was booted off because the farmer's son became jealous. Some people are so shallow.

You aint kiddin. Lost my best Deer Hunting place after I took a 9 pointer that dressed at 205 off the place. The landowners nephew decided then that there really isnt enough room for two on this 200 acres. Guess you know who didnt get permission to come back.

Line class or actual size of the fish? I hold the "unofficial state record" for yellow perch.
