The idea is to commercially net them as they are good to eat (not the same as common carp) and or grind them up for the fish meal portion of fish feed. I haven't heard anything beyond that yet.
I do know a jet skier was killed by one via blunt trauma to the head. I'm not eating one!!! Supposed to be a nice flakey meat unlike the common carp. Some chefs even like them.
If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.
