The idea is to commercially net them as they are good to eat (not the same as common carp) and or grind them up for the fish meal portion of fish feed. I haven't heard anything beyond that yet.
I do know a jet skier was killed by one via blunt trauma to the head.

If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.

Has anybody fished for them, (not like you need to if they are jumping in your boat). Just seems like a fish that can jump out of the water that high would be fun on the line.

They are great table fare if prepared properly. Keep an eye out for something called "silver fish". This is how it will be marketed. As far as sport, they are filter feeders so hooking one in the mouth is unlikely. Snagging and bowfishing are common ways of getting them in the boat though.
