TP & W has the permits. You will have to attest that there is no way that they can escape and get to public waters. You submit the filled out application and they OK it. We paid $15 per fish from a supplier for 10 to 12 inch fish for a neighbors pond. I think there is a maximum allowed of either 10 or 15 per acre. It is my observation that this is way too many. We put in 7 last summer in a weed filled, one acre mess. This year, no weeds. However, they got all of the weeds for the baby fish to hide. There is a tradeoff here and I'm not sure where it is. I once saw a post that said that research suggests that they may have a 50% mortality rate. I don't know but there is a reason to be careful.
