Zep, I believe that everyone should do as they see fit in this regard. If you perceive a danger, or threat, then carrying a firearm might be a wise choice. And, don't forget the psychological impact...if carrying a weapon brings one peace of mind, whether a threat exists or not, and it allows for better enjoyment of their property, then it's probably worth it.
