Pond Boss Forums POND CONSTRUCTION Building a dam New member, New pond

I have browsed the forums for sometime looking for ideas and resources on pond construction and management. I must say this is without a doubt the best online resource out there. I really enjoy the construction pictures that are posted. I was fortunate enough to have very accomplished contractor who appears to be quite the youtube sensation. I thought I would share these videos that he made during the construction process. There are many other pond and other projects on his youtube channel also. The pond is within about 2 feet of full pool now and I plan to start stocking in next couple of weeks.

what do you plan on stocking? maby a dumb question not knowing where you are at in nc but did you pan for any gold during construction and if so did you find any thing.

No gold in these parts. This is in the eastern piedmont. Plan to stock by the state extension guidelines. 700 BG and 300 shellcracker. Will add the bass later this summer.

shame there is no gold in your part if their was you probably couldhave at least payed to stock the pond with the gold. my dad and i took a trip down to the mountains of nc to pan for gold and we nearly paid for our trip. hope the best for you good luck.
