The hunter is over 6' tall....



I just measured my hand, a hair over 5" wide and 8" from wrist to tip of fingers. That's my hand that the lion paw is in.


This was a small lion, it only weighed 115#.

The first day the dogs bayed an Elk instead of a lion. But, the elk was coated in blood, and was raked a number of times on both sides of her ribs. We figure that the dogs chased the lion off of the Elk, and stayed with the Elk because of the blood. This lion was bayed the next day after a 3 1/2 hr chase. When the outfitter tied up the dogs, the lion started to get out of the tree. When the outfitter walked to the tree to keep the lion up in the tree, the lion took a swipe at his face, and jumped out of the tree. It made a circle around the tree and leisurely walked off. The hunter was across the canyon, and made a great 300+ yd shot to kill the lion.
