No, no Elk. We were on a Cow only hunt, and only 1 out of 6 saw elk. He did shoot a cow on his last day with a couple minutes of legal shooting light left.

The problem was the drought, and there was 5-7 Mt. Lions in the area that chased the resident herd of Elk back onto National Forest grounds. One hunter did have a lion tag, and got a lion the 2nd day. But, since it was a 3 day hunt, the elk didn't move back to the area before we had to leave.
