Thought I'd share some good news for us and the fish. We received plans for a large project near LA to be started this spring to clean and fix a large 40+ acre lake (cesspool) and return it back to it's original glory. Tons of cool habitat with huge boulder piles, large tree trunks, gravel, plants and hundreds of our keeper and safehouse habitat units.


With 130 million being spent over 2.5 years, this will be a great display of what we can do to clean up and start fixing our polluted waterways. Here's the story on our blog:

We feel it's a big win for the State and others watching to see and understand new tools we have to fix our water issues. To have leaders in the top consulting and engineering firms to the fed, recommend our inert habitat structures and floating treatment wetlands for a project of this magnitude, confirms where this industry is heading.

Looks like I a got an excuse to take a bluewater trip off the California coast in the near future. Can you say Wahoo and Yellowfin?

For Wahoo and Yellowfin, you need to leave from San Diego and go South into Mexican waters. If you wait 'till Aug/Sept, you could leave from LA and target Albacore Tuna.

Or, head out to Catalina for White Seabass and Yellowtail out of LA/Redondo Beach.
