I read on some of these pond aeration type websites where they are talking around 2000 gallons per minute of lift for a 9 inch diffuser. Is this right or am I reading it wrong?
I have a 9 inch disc EDI membrane diffuser and I will be pumping .5 cfm's of air. It will be in about 12 feet of water. What kind of lift or gallons per minute should I expect? I am trying to calculate correctly how many diffusers I will need.

Bob,
At 12' of depth using an EDI 9" diffuser with 0.5 scfm of air provided to it you should be around 1600 gpm for a single disc.

Thanks for the info Cary. What if I put 2 diffusers together approx. 12 inches apart at the same parameters. Would it be twice the 1600 gpm or is there some extra gain from be close together?
