Ya know this decal thread got me thinking...

I suppose we could get some "P.R." for Pond Boss
by erecting a sign at our ponds.

Every little bit helps.
Many of us have visitors/guests to our ponds
and many leave saying they "want a pond of their own someday".

Maybe we could get them hooked after a visit by having a small
sign like the example shown below at our ponds.

Of course I know most forum memebers won't do it...just like the donations
but hey I may just do this. You can get those alum signs made pretty cheap
these days.

I love this...but could we add, "Trespassers will serve as permanent fish structure!"?

Ah HA!!!! I don't feel so bad now!

Sunil, isn't the mind the first thing to go as you get older?? wink grin

One thing about inside the glass - if you have tinted windows it won't show up very well.......

I'd never put a decal or sticker on my bumper or any painted surface. Outside on the glass, yes.

Great idea! Based on your idea, I'm going to put one on the docks in each of our ponds.

Each season, we have a number of neighborhood cookouts with fish from our ponds and other Pond Boss friend's ponds. Last year, after removing about a 150 lbs., of brown bullheads from Sunil's pond, we had 45 guests on Father's day. There wasn't a fillet or crumb remaining when we finished cooking.

We invited two local pastors, who performed a Sunday morning service, so that no one could have an excuse that they would miss their church service because they might be playing "hooky."

The guests, including the pastors and their families, enjoyed the entire day eating, fishing, and just relaxing.

Based on comments from such gatherings, when Lynda and I find families somewhat serious about building a pond, or visitors with a pond who want a pond like ours, we give them a gift subscription to Pond Boss Magazine.

We do our fish cooking in Pond Boss aprons and Pond Boss caps (which we've given to many).

The more exposure we have for Pond Boss, the better for all of us. We learn so very much from new pond owners, and from those pond owners who have questions.

Ken

In some ways, this is very good. In some ways this isn't so good. The good is that we are growing. The less-than-good, is that as we grow, things slip through the cracks.

I guess we need a Quality Assurance/Quality Control crew.

For those of us who have been PB members for a long time, and who have unfortunately become complacent, this is what many of us have received many times, and that Bob referred to above. These are 3x5 inch vinyl stickers that have a great outdoor life, like on a bumper or window.

By the next Pond Boss gathering, maybe we can put together a checklist and quality assurance group.

Regards,
Ken

esshup, I was just asking if you ever unpack! But I deserved it!

Agreed about tinted windows.

Putting stickers and such all over your vehicle makes you a more likely target for getting pulled over.
