I know it's hard to commit to spending money, but I'd strongly consider contacting Chris Steelman, Matt Rayl, or Bob Lusk to check on your pond. Turbidity concerns me too - you may have more going on there than the watermeal issue. Could be caused by fish [carp or bullhead] or by an ionic imbalance. Both can be solved. Consider calling them and asking them to stop by.
