Cut a chunk of the green wood and toss it into a bucket of pond water. See if it changes color. Then, if no change, toss in a couple of minnows and see what happens.
It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.
