Nice job! What are you going to do inside the gun room?

Yea it was a 2 part epoxy they applied in the barn area. It's tough stuff. I accidentally drug a steel bench a few inches across it and you couldn't tell. I'm building some benches for the gun room this weekend to hold all my reloading equipment. The gun safe will also go in there as soon as i get some help to move it.

I understand needing help to move the gun safe. I am doing that tomorrow.

I love the unassuming industrial look from the exterior, only to be bowled over by the gorgeous interior...and it is a beautiful interior! Heck, the exterior looks super, too! Is this the principal home now, or vacation home....or future retirement home?

The outside look was intentional Ski. Unfortunately, I'm a little too close to the county highway and I wanted it to look like just a metal barn but it's so tall, you can see it from the highway. At least until I get some trees planted. I'm thinking Chinese Pistache just due to the high yearly growth. It's just a weekend/vacation home for now. I'm trying to retire in the next year or so and then it will be permanent!!

I think you used up all your porch funds on the back lol.. Same with my house.. Ive been thinking of epoxying my garage floor. I did a bunch of research on it when i built the house--Thats as far as i got lol...

Bluegillerkiller a friend of mine built two skating rinks in my home town, one is now a Moose club and the other is still a skating rink, but he epoxied both floors and you know how much abuse they take. He's passed away or I would ask what the procedure is. What seems to stick in my mind is the one of the slabs may have been like a road tar rather then cement. He did the epoxying himself. At any rate you might check with skating rink associations.

I have 2 exhaust fans with louvers at each end of the barn that do pretty good keeping it tolerable.

Neat place. I'm not surprised that you are a reloader. BTW, I went to Cabelas last week to pick up a jug of Varget. They told me that they had gotten in 70 pounds of it 2 days before and it had sold out in less than 24 hours.

Dave, Cabelas here is limiting ammo purchases to 10 boxes per person. How much Varget you looking for? I have an extra pound jug or 2 here and could throw it in the car when I come down if you are desperate.

Ditto to everything else said above but my favorite is the trim you used around the doors and windows.

Question, though. I am interested in building something similar in next couple of years. I'm told I need a fire wall between the living area and storage area. I didn't see that in your pics. Is that not necessary in your state/county?
