I'm curious about drainage areas. I have a 4-5 acre open field above my pond that is cut for hay, and I am considering letting it grow up to provide additional wildlife habitat. Does it really matter as far as drainage to a pond if it's an open field or brushy area? The rest of the drainage area is mostly pine, and hardwood forest.
