I don't see a problem. In warmer climates it isn't unusual to feed a lot later. Actually, I would recommend it. Metabolism doesn't totally stop with the cold fronts. It may slow down or they might temporarily suspend feeding.
I wouldn't throw out as much as you do in the summer. But, I would give them what they will take.
